A wine-cellar with customers who are all old familiars. An elderly Transylvanian actor sits at one of the tables. For some reason he finds us engaging, sees we are ordering next to nothing, and guesses the reason for this is lack of funds. He calls over an old man of seventy or so: “Here, old scout, run and fetch these youngsters a bite of something from the non-stop.”
