Kiss Katalin: Industrial Monuments - Our Budapest (Budapest, 1993)

Mayor of Budapest baptized the plants with the name of St. Imre. The subsequently inaugurated garage has functioned uninterruptedly since 15th November 1930. However, in recent years its butresses began to corrode, due to both internal and external environmental effects. Some years ago a rumour spread that the buses would be removed and the garage transformed into a market hall. Even if such unfounded rumours make the future of the garage uncertain, at least the most important maintenance works on this exceptional structure should be carried out conscientiously.
