The tomb of Endre Ady WITH THE MALOSIK MAUSOLEUM IN THE BACKGROUND to this is the resting place of the actress Mrs Gyula Gózon, née Lili Berky. The mortal remains of the monk Benedek Virág, poet and historiographer, have been moved from one grave to another several times; it is no great wonder that his original memorial has disappeared. The portrait on his new tombstone was made by Gyula Kőfalvi. The last persons to be mentioned here in this part of the section are painter László Mednyánszky and painter-graphic-art- ist Jenő Barcsay, both buried under tombstones by József Somogyi. At the corner of the artists’ section, where sev­eral promenades meet, you can see the giant memorial of the painter Mihály Munkácsy made by Ede Teles. Mun­kácsy was buried with the pomp and circumstance befit­ting the nation’s greatest artist, with the grandeur of his memorial itself eclipsing those of his fellow artists. The artists’ sector extends to Section 42 towards the back. A sculptural composition by Lajos Ősze tops the grave of the poet and writer Dezső Kosztolányi; not far from here lie actor Árpád Odry and Tamás Major, actor and theatre manager. Nearby is the grave of the actress Blanka Péchy, who founded the Kazinczy Prize, awarded every year to those contributing to the preservation of fine spoken Hungarian and correct grammatical usage.
