Szatmári Gizella: Signs of Remembrance - Our Budapest (Budapest, 2005)

His birthplace in Andód (today Adnovce, Slovakia) has had a plaque on it since 1875. The memorial slab featuring a relief portrait by Antal Szécsi was mounted by the wholesale merchant and Independence Party MP Kálmán Brá- zay in 1896 on the wall of the building at today's 23 Múzeum körút, Budapest, where Czuczor lodged until his death there. The plaque gathered dust in the basement of the Academy for quite some time until 1985 while the building was being reconstructed. It was then put back on the wall of the building after being restored to its original condition by László Csontos.
