The underlying reason may have been that the overwhelming majority of county nobility lived in the two districts of the Vásárhely tribunal, whereas only a small number of noblemen, who may have arranged their business at the sedria, lived in the territory of the tribunal of Veszprém. (It was in this territory where extended church and secular estates existed.) The situation changed, however, during the 1450s, for currently unknown reasons. This paper also enlists the archontology of the county between 1387 and 1458 (comes—vicecomes—judices nobilum).
