Nach der Osmanenherrschaft siedelten sich im Jahre 1699 die Dominikaner, auf den Wunsch des Bischofs Mihály Dvornikovits hin, als erster Orden in der Stadt an. I m selben Jahr begannen sie mit dem Bau der Kirche, zuerst war es eher eine kleine Kirche, aber später wurde sie erweitert und im Jahre 1756 eingeweiht.

Following the Ottoman occupation, the Dominicans was the first religious order invited into the country by Mihály Dvornikovits in 1699. They started building their church in the same year, which they later extended and dedicated in 1756.

II. József 1785-ben megszüntette a rend váci rendházát. 1796-tól lett az egykori domonkos templom, a Fehérek temploma - ami a domonkos szerzetesek fehér színű ruhájáról kapta nevét - a felsővárosi plébániatemplom. Joseph II. had the Vác order dissolved in 1785. The earlier Dominican church, the Church of the White Monks - received its name from the white reverend of the monks - became parish-church of upper-town in 1796. Statues of Saint Domonkos and Saint Imre decorate the facade and a statue of Virgin Mary is displayed above the front ledge.

Josef II. löste das Ordenhaus in Vác 1785 auf. Seit 1796 ist die ehemalige Dominikanerkirche, die "Kirche der Weißen“ - die den Namen nach dem weißen Gewand der Mönche bekam - die Pfarrkirche der oberen Stadtteil. Imrich, nad hlavnou rímsou stojí socha Neposkvrnene pocatej Panny Márie.
