(Althann Mihály Frigyes püspök, 1719) A ferences szerzetesek 1719-ben telepedtek meg Vácott, építették fel templomukat és kolostorukat a vár egykori területén, és védfalat a Duna felől. A nagy építkezést gróf Koháry István országbíró adománya tette lehetővé. A Szent Kereszt ferences templomot, a Barátok barokk templomát 1766-ban szentelték fel. The Franciscan monks settled in Vác in 1719, built their church and convent at the territory of the castle, and constructed a fortification along the Danube. Construction was made possible by the donation of Earl István Koháry, Judge Royal. The Franciscan Church of the Holy Cross, the baroque Church of Friars, was consecrated in 1766. Der große Bau wurde durch die Spenden von Graf István Koháry ermöglicht, die Kirche selbst wurde im Jahre 1766 eingeweiht.
