A város egyik hangulatos, régi arcát még őrző városrész Kisvác, ahová az ellenreformáció térhódítása során, 1712-ben Kollonits Zsigmond kitelepítette a reformáció híveit. A városon kívül, a Bécsi kapun néhány száz méterrel túl jött létre az 1769 végéig önálló jobbágyközség, melynek földesura a váci püspök volt.

Kisvác is an authentic, quaint section of the city, where the Protestant community was relocated to, by Zsigmond Kollonits in 1712, following the counter-reformation. The serf-community existed outside the city, a few hundred meters from the Viennese gate and kept its independence till 1769. Their landlord was the Bishop ofVác.
