THE PLACE WHERE THE PLAIN, THE MOUNTAINS AND THE DANUBE MEET 29 THE BOTANICAL GARDEN OF THE TÁNCSICS MIHÁLY SECONDARY AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL It is the educational training garden of the Corvinus University of Gödöllő with more than five hundred plants native to the temperate zones of Europe, Asia and America. The collection, which was started for educational purposes several decades ago and is constantly expanded, has a taxonomic structure. The botanical garden of the secondary agricultural school CIVIL ENVIRONMENTALIST ORGANIZATIONS The wildlife of the area is regularly checked and controlled by conservationists, who do (often voluntary) work of national importance in several subjects. Among these organizations we should mention Göncöl Alapítvány (Göncöl Foundation), Magosfa Környezeti Nevelési és Ökoturisztikai Alapítvány (Magosfa Environmental Education and Ecotourist Foundation), Pest Környéki Madarász Kör (Ornithological Circle of Pest Region) and the Tölgy Természetvédelmi Egyesület (The Oak Environmentalist Association). Based on their studies we can conclude that the rich flora and fauna of the region can only survive on condition that the management of the area, forestry and mining is performed in accordance with conservation priorities.
