Ladies and Gentlemen, I never regreted so much, that I did not know the English language, as now, when I have the honour as one of the Chief Curators of the Hungarian Unitarians to welcome our English and American Unitarian Brethren. I should have liked that the few words coming from the very heart- „the welcome“ which words pervade my whole body — should at the same, touch your souls, and cause your hearts to beat quicker. And this is quite natural, for as in music »— the same tunes melt together and bring forth beautiful harmony, if you could know our language — the past and present of our Church — and our efforts for the benefit and protection of human life, you would be more fully interested in our history. But I cannot create this idealized condition and must speak in Hungarian my native tongue, nevertheless the fountain from which the water comes is not less fervid. And I wish to welcome you as the representatives of the English and American Unitarian Brethren; and with gratitude
