Name___________________________________ Addres s_______________________________ City __________________State______Zip ON BEHALF OF THE TRANSYLVANIAN HUNGARIANS IN RUMANIA As United States citizens of Hungarian descent, we are deeply disturbed about the treatment given to the 2.8 million Hungarians in Transylvania by the Government of the Socialist Republic of Rumania. Though the Peace Treaties of 1947 as well as the very constitution of the Socialist Republic of Rumania, and recently the Helsinki Agreement (Section 7) clearly define the rights of national minorities and minority churches, the Rumanian Government flagrantly violates these rights in an ever increasing degree.
