“YOU AND YOUR FAMILY” - “YOU AND YOUR FUTURE” by — Alexander Hody Agency Manager for the State of New Jersey William Penn Association Dear Reader at our last visit we were discussing “IRA" the Individual Retirement Annuity for a very good reason — It is IRS time and consequently, it is time for the start of your own tax deductible, individual pension fund. Today, 1 am inviting you to join me on an Insurance Safari, starting our trip at your doorstep. We would like you to join up as partners and learn as much of our Industry as you can possibly absorb comfortably. Since the longest journey too, started with the first single step — without any further delay, let us begin. When we think of Family and/or Individual security, we have two great fields to consider and cover. 1. Starting with a new family and usually ending when years later our children are on their way and providing for themselves. 1 would say that these years are between ages 20 through 50, which years 1 would title as "You and Your Family” period. 2. Starts, when the first great period has ended. We have helped our children to form their own families and now we will have to concentrate on our own future including of course the ever-getting-nearer retirement! This is a very important time and 1 would call it the "You and Your Future” period. The first segment of time is the active, the creative, and be sure of it. the difficult years. Usually, we are going into adulthood with dreams and hopes and are very busy with life. The trouble is that often we are more concerned with the "living it up" rather than the “planning for it” concepts. So many of us. not leav ing or better yet, giving enough consideration for the second part. When we are healthy and all goes in their natural state of ways, there are three periods to a life span: a. Childhood — time for games and preparations. b. Active Adulthood — time for family and accumulations. c. Our Golden Age — time for taking accounts and prepa ring for the graceful decline. Whether we are professionals or dependent on our physical trades for providing, without exceptions, will fit into these three categories. There are two problems which we have to confront in life and they are: DYING TOO SOON OR LIVING 1OO LONG! In the first case we have no time left for providing for those we love and if we liv e long, and have not provided for it, we will face the awful penalty of being forced to accept charity. I will assume, that most of us considers himself herself to bean authoritv at a chosen field while we have to accept the fact that we are dependent for advise, on others. This is well. Therefore, when it comes to our financial security and setting up our own portfolios, what we have to do is search, listen, evaluate and consider! There is no other place in the world where there are such fine financial institutions and counselors, than right here in these United States. Here, the highly trained professionals offering themselves to you and without any obligations are ready to serve your needs.
