The editor Was asked many times for personal appearances on behalf of the magazine and the Foundation. He asks all the Vice Presidents, Board Members, or other interested persons to please make arrangements for a regional Hungarian Eighth Tribe Fundation Day to raise funds for the magazine and for the Foundation and let the editor know of the date, so he can schedule his time accordingly. Because many of the readers, who were with us from 1974 to 1979 are not subscribers anymore, periodically we’ll repeat some of the articles from earlier publications, which concerns our Hungarian Heritage. Miss Borsodi, a third generation Hungarian-American, is a reporter for the paper. IFe also received many phone calls, including one from Florida. Also people came in person to visit us. — Editor Dear Mr. Chomos: I just read in today’s Sunday Herald-Standard about the wonderful feature about the Eighth Hungarian Tribe and I wish I had known earlier about this Hungarian magazine. Please put me on your subscription list as soon as possible and send me the bill for a year’s subscription, and I will send you a check as soon as I hear from you. Both of my deceased parents were born and raised in Hungary and came to this country in the early 1900-s and settled in New York. I am married to a Hungarian girl for 43 years and whose deceased parents were also born in Hungary and settled down here in south-western Penna. (April 15) — Thank you for your prompt delivery of the April issue of the magazine, which I received today. I am enclosing a check of $10.00 for a year’s subscription and I shall look forward to your next issue. My wife and I are very proud of our Hungarian Heritage. I was shocked by the brutality of Rumania against our fellow Hungarians in Transylvania and I hope that our government will do something to alleviate their conditions and sufferings.
