Page 8 THE EIGHTH HUNGARIAN TRIBE May, 1982 — CONGRATULATIONS — The Rev. AUGUES A. RAKOCZY, member of Holy Family Parish, Lawrenceville (Pittsburgh), Pa., was ordained to the priesthood in the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Pensacola, Florida. He offered a Mass of Thanksgiving in the Lawrenceville church on April 25th. A graduate of Lawrenceville Catholic High School and Duquesne University, he earned a master’s degree at St. Vincent Seminary, Latrobe, Pa., and also attended St. Paul Seminary, and the Pontifical College Josphinum, Columbus, Ohio. When he returns to Pensacola, he intends to pursue postgraduate studies at the University of West Florida and serve as an associate pastor in the Pensacola Diocese. ESTHER S. TAMAS completed the fifth year at the Temple University School of Pharmacy, Philadelphia, Pa. She served as pharmacy intern at the St. Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa. during the past two Summers and at weekends and will complete the“Clinical training” by May 10, 1982. Receving her Diploma of Pharmacy on May 27th. Esther is the secretary of Rho Chi Honor Society, Secretary-Treasurer of Rho Pi Phi (Social Society) and member of SAPhA Pharmaceutical Association. She is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Dénes Tamas, pastor of the Free Magyar Reformed Church of McKeesport, Pa. Members of the “Eighth Tribe.” Beginning June 1st Esther is planning to work at the Lancaster- Reading, Pa. area. PAUL THOMAS KOVÁCS received his B.A. degree in Business Administration in the health care field at Waynesburg Presbyterian College of Pa. in May 1981. He is presently employed with PAN AM CORP. as a supervisor for an adult semi-independent long term care facility. Paul was bora in Amsterdam, Holland. He started his education in Uruguay, South America, where his parents worked as missionaries. Paul is the son of Reverend Paul and Edith Kovács, Administrator of the Bethlen Home, Ligonier, Pa. EUGENE “BUTCH” HUNYADI, III of Sharon, Pa. graduated from the University of Toledo, Ohio. Butch was an outstanding-wide receiver for the past four season and contributed strongly to the rebuilding of the Toledo football program. During his career as a Rocket receiver, Butch made 70 catches for 1,143 yards, 10 touchdowns and a 20 yard average per career reception. He was named to the Toledo Rocket Club for his outstanding performance. This young man also had the critical responsibility of holding the ball for all extra point and field goal attempts. One attempt which will always be replayed in his mind will be the 41 yard winning field goal on nationwide TV in the California Bowl which gave Toledo a last chance for victory. Butch has been contacted by National Football Lcage Teams and is looking forward to an extended football career. ANDY CHOMOS, an honor student, a 6.2’, 220 pound offensive lineman from Greensburg-Salem High School, will enroll at Westminster College, Pa. and play on the Titan footbal team in the Fall. “Chomos will be an excellent addition to our offensive line,” said the Westminster head coach, Joe Fusco. Andrew John is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elias C. Chomos of Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
