Every American has an ethnic heritage. HETF strives to serve those Americans whose background (blood or marriage) is Hungarian, no matter how remote. The Foundation seeks to establish a cul­tural and historical Institute to be a basic Hungarian cultural and historical archival resource for the over 3,500,000 of Hungarian origin in North America. HETF needs membership and support of all interes­ted in exploring and perpetuating a glorious and fascinating history of the many events in the Hun­garian saga, which touch our lives today, everywhere. Like what? Church hells ring at noon, all over the world. Why? Ever take a Schick test? Eat a croissant? Use paprika? Say “hello” on the tele­phone? These answers and so many others are from Hungarian history. To find out more, join the HETF! — NEWS RELEASE — — NEWS RELEASE — HUNGARIAN HERITAGE The Hungarian Eighth Tribe Foundation held its second Annual Heritage Conference on August 20 to 22nd in Ligonier, Pa. Participants came from Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and Virgina, representing 3 generations, whose ancestors came from the Old Hungarian King­dom. The Foundation is not affiliated with any Hun­garian religious, fraternal or political organization. It is chartered in Pennsylvania, with local branches throughout the United States. The Hungarian Eighth Tribe Foundation, Li­gonier, Pennsylvania 15658 provides a voice to reach Americans of Hungarian ancestry, and to foster Hun­garian heritage in America. HETF publishes an interesting bi-lingual month­ly journal, mostly in English ($10 a year), which brings news of interest to those Americans interested in learning more of Hungarian history and culture, and serves as a conduit of information on activities of Hungarian-oriented organizations in the U.
