We are not going to talk about politics or ideologies. From the viewpoint of our Hungarian identity these subjects are private, for which everyone of us has to carry his own responsibility. Our heritage, on the other hand, is the responsibility as well as the privilege of all of us, as a whole. 1 UiUibr radio We of the Johnstown, Windber area are very proud that we also have a Hungarian Radio program, Radio station WWBR — 1350 AM, licensed in Windber, Penna., for our listening pleasure and enjoyment in addition to the other Hungarian Radio programs in various parts of our great country of U.S.A. WWBR — Radio, 1350 AM is located along Route No. 56 between Johnstown and Windber, at 1724 Scalp Ave., Johnstown, Penna., 15904., it will be celebrating its 17th Anniversary this May - 1981, it not only served the entire greater Johnstown area, but the better part of six counties, plus. It is owned and operated by Louis and Olga Popp, both of Hungarian descent and who are members of the William Penn Association, plus having already completed three trips to Hungary. WWBR has carried programming of Hungarian Music every Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 1:30 PM since it went on the Air; Requests are encouraged, at no charge, just by calling area code (814) 467-6644 or better by just writing to WWBR — Radio, 1724 Scalp Ave., Johnstown, Pa., 15904. They also carry a regular Sunday morning Polka party, in addition to their Musical programming they provide their own complete News coverage of the area; ABC network news coverage of the national and international scenes. WWBR, 25000 watts, is the most powerful non-directional radio station in the greater Johnstown area. POLISH HUNGARIAN WORLD FEDERATION by Dr. Karol Ripa President The Polish Hungarian World Federation will be holding a General Assembly on Saturday, May 30th in Chicago, Illinois. The following are two messages addressed to the assembly: SECRETARY OF STATE THE VATICAN April 3,1981 To the participants in the General Assembly of the Polish Hungarian Federation, on May 30, 1981 in Chicago — His Holiness John Paul II extends his assurance that in his prayers he commends to God the Federation’s delibera­tions, with a plea for the needed graces, so that the efforts of the assembly would result in even a tighter bond of working together for a mutual benefit of these friendly nations.
