Page 4 THE EIGHTH TRIBE July, 1981 ALBERT WASS: LET US CLARIFY THE CONCEPTS The MEDIA, as well as public speakers often use words today which are interpreted in many different ways, causing confusion and misunderstanding. It seems time that we clarify some of these concepts for the sake of the young. DEMOCRACY: the absolute majority rule. CONSITUTIONAL DEMOCRACY: majority rule with the rights of the minorities clearly defined and protected by a constitution. SOCIALISM: the authoritarian rule of the Socialist Party enforcing its doctrines upon the people of a country “for the good of all people” with complete disregard whether the enforcer is in a minority status or not. Free enter prize is tolerated but controlled. A truly “Socialist Country” is a country in which the majority of the population embraces the socialist ideology, and actively participates in its application. NATIONAL SOCIALISM OR NAZISM: a totalitarian form of government under which the aim of socialism is not “the good of all people” but only the good of the ruling nation. Ethnic minorities are regarded and treated as inferior citizens. Free enterprise is encouraged but controlled. FASCIZM: the Italian variation of the one-socialistparty system, and based on the principles of the ancient Roman republic of the “consuls”, the symbol of which was the “fasces”, a bundle of small sticks tied together around a battle axe, representing the ancient idea of the Romans: strength in' unity. Free enteprize curtailed but tolerated. COMMUNISM: the totalitarian system of one party based on the Marxist-Leninist ideology, ruthlessly enforcing its rules on the masses for “the good of all workers”, with the final goal of “Liberating all the working peoples on Earth until there will be one state and one government ruling the world. The ideology does not recognize classes nor ethnic or national groups as independent entities. It knows only “workers” and “enemies of the workers”, who must be eliminated. Enemies of the workers are those who cling to free enterprise and personal property, and criticise the system and its enforcers. Communism, based on the Marxist-Leninist doctrine regards all nationalities as equals under the law, and allows them the free use of their language and encourages the development of their own culture — as long as this does not conflict with the communist doctrine and practice. Free enterprize is not tolerated, and the rule of the party is rigidly enforced, with complete disregard for the numerical status of the party within' the country it rules. The membership of the communist party in the communist ruled countries varies between 4 and 8 per cent of the total population. NATIONAL COMMUNISM: is a new version of communist practice, blending Russian Stalinism with the ideology of Hitler’s National Socialism. The achievements or benefits of the communist state are not intended for “all the workers”, but only for the workers of a dominant nationality group, with the exclusion of all the other “inferior” minorities, who must be absorbed or eliminated for the good of the nation by the use of terroristic measures. The practice of this mixed doctrine, combining National Socialism (Nazi) with communism, was introduced by Ceausescu, dictator of Rumania, causing indescribable sufferings and oppression to the Hungarian, German, Jewish, Bulgarian and other national minorities of that country, which minorities together make out almost one-fourth of the total population. AUTHORITARIAN GOVERNMENT: is a government based in most cases on majority or coalition1 rule, without adequate representation of the governed but regulated by a legal constitution. Authoritarian1 governments can enforce their rules only within this given frame-work, and can easily evolve into Constitutional Democracies. TOTALITARIAN GOVERNMENTS are based on minority rules without limitation in1 the power of enforcing their rules. The ruthless use of unlimited police-power is needed to protect the ruling minority from the ruled majority. It can never evolve into democracy, except by revolution. A NOTE TO OUR READERS!
