Page 6 THE EIGHTH TRIBE May, 1980 HUNGARIAN STUDIES July 17 — August 15, 1980 Personal challenge!? Family heritage!? Ethnic pride!? Scholarly interest!? Job opportunities!? Community service!? Whichever is your foremost concern, the Hungarian Summer Program in Ada, Ohio will serve you well. It provides an opportunity for intense language study. It also provides an opportunity for complete immersion in a culture, history and group experience that is unattainable—in a Hungarian context—in any other summer program within the continental U.S.A. For six weeks you will live within a setting wherein you, your classmates and your instructors will have Hungarian studies as your main concern. Even during your free time when you are not in classroom, language laboratory or library, you will have the opportunity to practice what you learn. The program will be held on the attractive campus of Ohio Northern University. The modern classroom and housing facilities ensure personal comfort as well as pleasant surroundings! In the dormitories, in the cafeteria or on weekend outings which are planned for the program, we contemplate the constant use of Hungarian. In fact, we will ask our students to pledge at the outset, that for the duration of the program they will use Hungarian as their language of communication. The formal course of study begins on July 7th and ends on August 15th. An additional optional 7th week of field study is contemplated in the Hungarian- American neighborhood in Toledo, Ohio from Aug. 16th to Aug. 22nd.
