Room 317 — Cathedral of Learning This course is designed to familiarize students with the basics of Hungarian language and culture. Students will be taught fundamental Hungarian vocabulary and conversational skills and, based on prior knowledge, will be divided into groups. Beginners as well as those with intermediate and advanced skills are welcome. Language training will be supplemented with lectures and discussions on Hungarian history and culture (folklore, literature, music, cuisine, etc.). Films and slide shows will be also be presented. Should there be sufficient interest, additional courses will be offered as background to a proposed study trip to Hungary in the summer of 1980. The course will be taught by Agnes H. Vardy, Robert Morris College, and Steven B. Vardy, Duquesne University, who are frequent travelers to Hungary and have published extensively in Hungarian studies. — Fee: $40.
