Page 2 THE EIGHTH TRIBE Szeptember, 1979 DEDICATION This magazine is dedicated to the Eighth Tribe in America, descendants of the original Seven Magyar Tribes. Whatever their faith, their familiarity with their ancestral language, or their degree of Hungarian ancestry, we address ourselves to each of them. If this reading is your first acquaintance with “THE EIGHTH TRIBE?', we hope you find it informative and enjoyable and that in time you will become one of our regular subscriber. THE EDITOR’S CORNER We are happy to report to our readers, that the Amcrican-Hungarian Presbyter’s Association Conference unanimously accepted a Resolution submitted to them by the Resolution Committee to rally behind the Eighth Tribe magazine and the Eighth Tribe Foundation. The resolution called for: that every family belonging to the churches should receive the Eighth Tribe magazine. The Conference also asked that a page be assigned as a “Youth Page” to report on youth activities. As President Vig said “We have voted for it, now let us sell.” — Our deep appreciation. — We would like to ask all church councils to set aside one Sunday as “Eighth Tribe Foundation Fund Raising Day”. Together we can work out a program. The Minister’s Association Conference did not make any resolution in behalf of the Eighth Tribe, DONATION TO THE EIGHTH TRIBE FOUNDATION P. 0.
