rage 8 THE EIGHTH TRIBE July, 1976 News About People FATHER MICHAEL HUSZTI Father Michael Huszti, a native of Lorain, Ohio, was ordained on May 9 in Parma, Ohio, at St. John’s Cathedral. His first Mass was cele­brated May 16 at St. Michael’s Hun­garian Greek Catholic Church, in Lorain. Father Huszti, horn Janu­ary 4, 1950, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mihály Huszti. He was an honor student throughout high school, and went on to continue his education at SS. Cyril and Meth­odist Seminary at Duquesne Uni­versity, where he graduated in 1972, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Upon the comple­tion of his seminary training, he •was given the position of Deacon at St. Michael’s Church. This posi­tion eventually led to his culmina­tion as Father Michael Huszti. Sándor Mécs of Pittsburgh was graduated with a Bachelor of Sci­ence degree in biology from the University of Pittsburgh last April. He plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health for his Master’s de­gree. He will then seek admission to a medical school abroad. He is presently working as a medical technician in hematology depart­ment at Magee-Women’s Hospital in Oakland. Katherine Saltzer Hichey Katherine Saltzer Hichey — daughter of Mrs. Margaret Saltzer - a very talented pianist and mu­sician. She has performed at nu­merous Los Angeles cultural events. She is now studying for her Mas­ters Degree and is particularly in­terested in teaching the Kodály Method in piano. Her ultimate goal is to teach at the Jr. College or College level. She began her studies on the piano with Mr. and Mrs. László Gamauf. and has studied at the Francz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary for one year. Anikó Kovács Anikó Kovács, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Zoltán Kovács recently graduated from Nyack College, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree. She plans to con­tinue her education to achieve her Masters, majoring in missionary work. Anikó became the wife of Antal Appa at Nyack College in a cere­mony performed by her father. The groom is also preparing for missionary work. Dr. Joseph P. Bakty Dr. Joseph P. Bakty, son of Jo­seph and Iren Bakty, Hamilton, Ont., Canada. The talented young man just graduated as Doctor of Dental Science of the University of Toronto. ||g Diatia Lynn Rausch Diana Lynn Rauscli graduated from Edinboro State College on May 22, 1976 with a Alasters de­gree in Educational Psychology. She is the daughter of Mrs. Edith Rausch and the late George Rausch from McKeesport, Pa. T
