Page 2 THE EIGHTH TRIBE November, 1975 MGT NEWS The ultimate goal is to establish the MGT network of corporations, world wide as it was outlined in the Eighth Tribe, October, 1975. The establishment of the MGT-Intemational and MGT-National (i.e., USA, Canada, etc.) corporations must meet the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commissions which involves costly procedures. Regional and local MGT-s can be formed easily within a given state, without expensive legal procedures. As an interim plan for international and national organization a “Hungarian Business Association,” is formed (HBA for short) which (except for financial, ownership and stock issues) will perform most of the functions which would be performed by the MGTInternational and various MGT-National corporations. HBA will not be a profit-making corporation by itself, but can act as an association of all such corporations and their share holders and of other interested parties. In due time, when the Regional and Local MGT’s become strong, the MGT-Intemational and MGT-National Corporations can be formed easily because the expenses would be shared on a very wide basis. At such time, those MGT’s could assume the role of HBA or HBA could be further maintained if it becomes advantageous. * * * HUNGARIAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION (HBA) The “Hungarian Business Association” is a nonprofit organization with the purpose of fostering cooperation among the dispursed Hungarians, (emigrants, displaced persons, refugees; first, second, and third generations, etc.) for the successful entry into the business community of the new homeland. In principles and operation, HBA is similar to the Chamber of Commerce. HBA will engage in the following activities: 1. Organization of national, regional and local chapters for interested members. These would act as management planning and information centers also. THE EIGHTH TRIBE Editor .......................................................... Sándor E. Providing Blue Cross/Blue Shield/Medical Health Care options on the basis of GROUP plan to those members who do not have that option elsewhere. HBA will charge a modest membership fee in order to maintain a small staff administering the activities. The membership fee will include subscription to the Eighth Tribe which journal is published once a month, and will carry the news for HBA, by special arrangement with Bethlen Press, Incorporated, publishers of the Eighth Tribe. Address for Headquarters: 7129 Saltsburg Road Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15235 * * * One of the many roles of the Eighth Tribe is to present monthly the news of tthe Magyar Gazdasági Társaság (MGT) and of the Hungarian Business Association (HBA). Participation in either of these organizations is completely voluntary. It is expected that membership will grow gradually as people learn and understand better the goals, the objectives and the systematic step-by-step results and accomplishments of HBA and the various MGT-s. It is imperative that every possible future beneficiary of the undertakings of HBA and MGT be well informed at all times. This is possible only if we put the Eighth Tribe into the hand of every Hungarian every month. If you are already a subscriber, please renew your subscription whenever it expires and recommend it to your fellow Hungarians. If you are not a subscriber yet, please subscribe. You should not expect more than one sample copy. Also buy a gift subscription to a friend or relative, particularly if they live far away, or at least send us their name and address.
