The purpose of MGT is to establish an economic advantage for all Hungarians who live elsewhere than in Hungary as compared to their surroundings, utilizing their local possibilities, talents and taking advantage of the contacts. Currently, a planning committee is issuing the “MGT News,” i.e. “MGT Híradó.” Many Hungarians have been concerned with the problem but Dr. István Tuba has formalized it. Dr. Tuba is President of Basic Technology, Incorporated and of the Department of Engineering and Natural Sciences of Árpád Academy. Furthermore, he is an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh. According to him, everyone is Hungarian who considers himself Hungarian. Dr. Tuba has suggested the establishment of an “MGT International” Corporation, then MGT National, Regional and Local Corporations. Individuals would invest in the local corporations which would handle 50 percent of the investment, 25 percent would he invested in the regional, 12% and 12% percent into the national and international corporations, respectively. Ownership would always remain in the hand of the individual, however, the network of the corporations could act as a huge economic power. By the unique scheme of exchanged ownerships up and down, each individual investor of a local corporation would have interest in all MGT corporations world-wide. Different corporations in this worldwide network would have different functions according to local interests, such as engineering, real estate, employment agency, hotels, travel agency, bank, etc. It would be to the economic advantage of each individual or corporation in the MGT Network to use the services of the others, furthermore, provide legally available information to the others concerning opportunities. The objective is to keep the ownership and control in the hands of Hungarian individuals. Most investors could keep their current positions with other organizations, but could act as advisors to the professional managers who would run the different operations. Regional, national, and international MGT’s act as operating companies but also perform the function of a pipeline of information on opportunities. Individuals who do not have relatives, may will their possessions to an MGT, instead of leaving it to the state. Selection of leaders is very important. The stockholders elect the directors and the directors appoint the managers. In selecting the leaders, the important factor is demonstrated knowledge and ability, preferably an excellent track record in business. The interest in the MGT Network has been great. There are definite plans to start “MGT - Pittsburgh, Inc.” shortly. During the 15th Hungarian Congress over the Thanksgiving weekend in Cleveland the plans will be further discussed and appropriate decisions will be made. Comments and questions could be submitted to the editor. The current issue presents the full text of the so-called “Tuba Doctrine,” in Hungarian. In the case of sufficient interest, the full text could be issued in its English version later. # * * Those wishing to write to Dr. Tuba directly should use the following address: Dr. I. S.
