Page Six THE EIGHTH TRIBE MAY, 1975 time Mr. John S. Marincsak, Chief-Elder presented the church’s gift to the Reverend Torok to be used toward the purchase of a new ministerial robe. In addition, the Honorable Mayor Alexander Jankowski presented Reverend Torok a key to the city of Perth Amboy. The gathering was further pleasantly surprised during the evening by the dances of the newly-formed Hungarian Folk Dance Group led by Mrs. Susan Torok, under the instruction of Mr. Thomas Teszar. After quite a long and eventful day, the occasion came to a close with the introduction of the Guest of Honor, the Reverend Stefan M. Torok, his wife Susan, and their lovely ten-month-old daughter, Ilona Susan. Reverend Torok brought the day to a close by thanking everyone for their kindness expressed to­ward him and offered the benediction. Fairport Harbor, Ohio — The installation of the Rev. Paul Kantor as pastor of the Fairport Harbor Hungarian Reformed Chürch was held Sunday, April 13, 1975. Eleven ministers and priests participated in the installation service. The oath was administered by the Rt. Rev. Aaron Elek, Deputy Bishop of the Calvin Synod. Over 300 people attended the event. Roebling, N. J. — Despite the rainy afternoon, members of the Women’s Aid and the Lorantffy Societies from the New York and New Jersey Churches of the Hungarian Reformed Church in America turned out in unexpected numbers to at­tend the conference. A short worship service was conducted by the members: Scripture reading in English— Mrs. Georgiana Horkel, Roebling and Mrs. Lorraine Magyar, Jr., Perth Amboy; Prayer in Eng­lish— Mrs. Helen Nemish, Carteret; Scripture read­ing in Hungarian— Mrs. Frank Lugosi and Mrs. John L. Peter, Roebling; Prayer in Hungarian— Mrs. Maria Varga, New York, N. Y. Mrs. Susan Torok, president, opened the con­ference and introduced the speakers, who in turn made a presentation of the conference theme “Love is ...” “Szeretet...”. The English speaker was Miss May Dooley a social worker for Senior Citizens in Perth Amboy. The Rt. Rev. Louis Nagy, Superinten­dent of the Bethlen Home, was the Hungarian speaker. Newly elected officers of the conference are: President— Mrs. Lorraine Magyar, Perth Amboy; Vice-President— Mrs. Margaret E. Conner, Trenton; English Secretary— Mrs. Helen Nemish, Carteret; Hungarian Secretary— Mrs. Elizabeth Lovász, Staten Island; Treasurer— Mrs. Helen Nagy, Roebling; Chaplain— Susan Torok, Perth Amboy.
