August, 1974 THE EIGHTH TRIBE Page Seven Dick Brem - teacher. back again this year. In the Spring of every year we have performed for the Hungarian Room Committee at Stephen Foster Memorial at the University of Pittsburgh. Proceeds of this concert go to the upkeep of the Hungarian Room in the University of Pittsburgh. There have been many other performances, too many to detail. Because we believe we must do our part to keep this great heritage alive, many of our performances are done free of charge. Our next big project will he the Hungarian Festival at Kennywood Park, on Tuesday, August 13, 1974. It is our third year to sponsor this event. We have tried very hard to bring to the Hungarian people a day to remember; a day to meet with old friends; to sing some of your old favorite songs; to see many articles and crafts from Hungary; and to eat some delicious Hungarian food and pastries. I nfortunately we just can’t seem to make enough. However this year we are making more. We endeavor to show both young and old what makes Hungarians such beautiful people. With our colorful costumes and our program of folk songs and dances we hope to inspire them to join our group and help us to keep our heritage alive and growing. After the program we have planned a dance for all to enjoy. Please come and we are sure you will go away with a special feeling that in your heart you are a Hungarian. Always he proud of your heritage and please pass it on so it will never die. In closing we would like to thank those people who organized this group and labored so hard and long for its success. Our deepest heartfelt thanks to:
