Recent News Activities Reminders Just a reminder! If you are taking a Ligonier Gardens' resident out of the facility for Mother's Day or Father's Day, and they will not be here for a meal, please notify Ligonier Gardens ahead of time so the kitchen can plan the meals accordingly. Outings Nice weather is here at last! Every month Ligonier Gardens will offer a variety of outings on the calendar. There will be trips to the Dollar Store, Kmart and the library, as well as lunch outings to state parks and restaurants. Due to the limited seating on the bus and on the vans, everyone must alternate turns going on the outings. Outings are weather permitting - and subject to change. Teacups Wanted The Activity Department at Bethlen Home is in need of more china cups for use in the Mother's Day program on Saturday, May 10. If you plan on spring cleaning, please donate your unwanted cups! During the year, the Activity Department sponsors an afternoon tea and the ladies love to use the beautiful cups. Anyone with questions may contact Sherry at 724-238- 1424. Cottage News What a wonderful and fun April meeting! Ms. Theresa Rohall, the Coordinator of Education from Powdermill Nature Reserve, presented a program on "Frogs of PA". We were all amazed at the variety of species and were able to see frogs and hear their different sounds. The meeting concluded with a fabulous meal prepared by the ladies of the Cultural Center. Our next meeting will be on May 6lh at 3 p.m. in the Linden Room. Cottage residents at meeting in Linden Room Resident Csaba Kur sculpting Web Site Features Resident Art Exhibit www.bethlen.com Recently, Bethlen Home displayed resident Csaba Kur's acclaimed artwork in the front lobby. The local paper also printed a story about Mr. Kur. And now, Bethlen Communities' Web site is hosting an Online Art Exhibit, which features eight of Mr. Kur's works. The Exhibit also provides a short biography of Mr. Kur's fascinating life. Other online services allow visitors to apply for jobs, view and print the monthly resident activity calendar and register for upcoming events, such as the Golf Tournament.
