Activity Highlights Thank You’s JUST A REMINDER TO FAMILIES Bethlen Home and its Activity Staff wish to acknowledge the following for their kindness and support to our facility and our residents. Thanks To: Gail McCallen for the beautiful handmade bulletin boards she recently donated to our facility. They were beautifully done. Anna Haibesic for her recent donation of teacups and bingo prizes. The following friends and family of former resident Laura Haines who recently made a donation to our Activity De­partment in her memory. The donations were used to pur­chase large print books for our resident library. Thanks to: Helen and George Craig, Donna and Layke Martin, Judi and Richard Haines, Linda and Gregory Haines, Patricia Copeland, John Brown, Arthur and Marie Copeland. Joyce Rives for her donation of books and magazines. Bonnie Solich for her donation of teacups. Janie Burd and Francis Hainen for their donation of a doll house kit, which will be used as a raffle in the near future. “Thanks” for thinking of us. Margaret Pauli for her hard work and talents that went into making the potholders and Christmas ornaments for our Gift Shop. They will be a great seller this Holiday Sea­son! Theresa Kovács for her time, talents, and hard work that went into making the beautiful afghan she recently do­nated to the Activity Department. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Toth for all the beautiful hair ribbons, clips, etc. The nursing assistants were delighted to re­ceive them, and they also add a special touch to our resident's hair. The many friends of Bethlen Home who have anonymously dropped off holiday wrapping paper, magazines, etc. We appreciate your thoughtfulness. The following families who recently made a donation to our Memorial Garden Fund in memory of their loved ones. Your kindness is greatly appreciated. Anna C. Harbison in memory of Rose Pritts Rick and Sandy Ritenour in memory of Eugene Wanichko Families...Please be sure to notify any magazine, news­paper, church bulletin, etc. of your loved ones new change of address. Many of our resident’s families have not given our facility’s new address change to the companies or churches who send their loved ones these items on a regular basis. The Activity Staff has been trying to notify some compa­nies of our change of address as each resident receives the magazine, etc. Please be sure to follow up on your loved one’s mail and make the appropriate changes. Our new mailing address: Bethlen Home 66 Carey School Road Ligonier, PA 15658-8758 SUNSHINE BROTHERS CLOTHING WAGON TO VISIT IN NOVEMBER Families and residents will have the opportunity to shop for regular and specialized clothing on Thursday, Novem­ber 10, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Linden Room. Volunteers and Activity Staff will be available to help you with your shopping needs. This is a great time to shop for your loved one’s holiday gifts, especially if they require specialized clothing such as back snap, hospital style clothing, etc. for men and women. The clothing company carries a wide variety of clothing, shoes and accessories for men and women. Cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted. If you are unable to attend and would like clothing pur­chased for your loved one, please contact Kathy Cams, Social Service or Sherry Humbertson, Activity Director at 724-238-6711. Your merchandise will then be purchased for you. Hope to see you there!!!
