Thanks to Nancy O’Donnell for all of her generous donations of Bingo prizes. Everyone at Ligonier Gardens would like to send a special Thank You out to Bob Tickerhoof, who donated a beautiful organ to our facility. The organ was placed in the Solarium where all our residents can enjoy it. The organ is also used in our church service that is held every Saturday. We recently had a pet therapy session and would like to thank Bob Williams and his dogs for coming in and putting a smile on everyone’s face. The residents always enjoy seeing animals. On October 3rd the American Red Cross held a blood drive at our facility. We would like to thank the American Red Cross and everyone that took the time to come and donate. We would like to thank Abby Ross and the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Ligonier for donating the decorated pumpkins to our facility, which are currently on display. I would like to take this time to thank Elisa Lynch, who donated a wonderful treadmill to our facility. You can find the treadmill located in our sunroom with our cardio glide machine. Our residents use the machines on their free time and in exercise class everyday. Thank you Elisa! Ligonier Gardens has had another Deficiency Free Inspection this year. Thanks to our staff for all your hard work and dedication that made this possible. Bertalan, I am writing you on behalf of the 23 member Fidesz- MPSZ delegation which participated in the threeweek “Public Policy Seminar and Training” program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and the Hungarian American Coalition in July 2003. We would like to express our gratitude to you and to the staff of The Bethlen Home for your hospitality and invitation of our large delegation to a very pleasant luncheon during our weekend visit to Pennsylvania. We were pleased to become acquainted with your organization, and we are all impressed by your commitment to maintaining Hungarian heritage in the United States. We are convinced that our stay in the United States during these three weeks has been very beneficial not only because of our improved communication skills and understanding of American culture and society, but because we have made many friendships which will remain with us, along with the lessons of the program, for many years to come. Thank you again for your generosity. Yours truly, Mihály Varga
