Sunday, 6th through the 12th: “A Celebration of Heritage” is the theme for the week. Saturday, 12th: Join us for a cookout and entertainment by the Scottdale Band starting at 12:00 Noon on the First Floor Patio. Thursday, 17th: Outing scheduled. Watch for details on the weekly announcement boards. Sunday, 10th through 16th: Carnival Week. Join us for some fun and laughter in testing out your skills by joining in on the games and contests. A fun time for all. Thursday, 14th: Cookout at 12:00 Noon on the First Floor Patio. Friday, 15th: Della’s Petting Zoo at 2:00 p.m. on the First Floor Patio. Thursday, 21st: Country Line Dancers at 7:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Saturday, 19th: Della’s Petting Zoo will be here starting at 2:00 p.m. on the First Floor Patio. Sunday, 20th: Join us for an afternoon of fun, food and entertainment at the Annual Hungarian Picnic starting at 12:00 Noon at the picnic grove. We’ll be serving all your favorites. Monday, 21st through the 26th: Nature Week. Join us for a fun-filled week of activities learning about our favorite bugs and flowers! Monday, 28th - 30th: Berry Days, taste your favorite pies. Thursday, 31st: Cookout 12:00 Noon on the First Floor Patio. Monday, 25th through 31st: Friendship Week. Join us for a variety of activities throughout the week. Ligonier Gardens Dog Days of Summer! Here are some things we have planned for the month of August: Tuesday, 5th: Scenic Ride Thursday, 7th: Music by Tom Beckman at 1:30 p.m. Ligonier Gardens Celebrate America! Here are some things we have planned for the month of July: Tuesday, 1st: Bible Study at 10:00 a.m. Friday, 4th: Happy Independence Day! Friday, 11th: Line Dancers at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, 17th: Music by Joe Marotta at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, 22nd: Accordion Player, Kevin Solecki at 6:00 p.m. Monday, 28th: Resident Council Wednesday, 30th: Ice Cream Party at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, 31st: K-mart Outing! We encourage the families of our residents to take them out and let them enjoy the wonderful weather. After the terrible winter we had, they would love to get out, even to just sit outside and visit with you. Take advantage of this weather because, before you know it, winter will be here again. Tuesday, 12th: Hymn Sing at 2:00 p.m. Friday, 15th: Bingo and Lunch with Laughlintown Community Center Monday, 18th: Lunch Outing at Jioio’s at 12:15 p.m. Monday, 25th: Resident Council Wednesday, 27th: Milk Shake Party at 3:00 p.m. We have invited the Laughlintown Senior Center back again for lunch and bingo. We are looking forward to another enjoyable afternoon sharing stories with one another. Once again, families are asking what they can do to help at the Ligonier Gardens. This summer we are in need of porch furniture. Our number of residents keeps growing, and we are running out of seats for them to sit outside. They all love to sit out and breathe in the fresh air. We have three porches and not enough seats. Anyone interested in helping out with the seats, please call and let us know at 724-238-3517. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
