Szép Edith Ujvági Baba - 724-238-2032 Our March 15th, 1848 Commemorative Program was an inspiration to all who attended. The poetry reading by Mrs. Irene Kovács brought tears to our eyes. Mr. Joseph Fabris' rendering of TALPRA MAGYAR— RISE HUNGARIANS truly described our feelings towards our proud Hungarian-American history. A very special thank-you to all who participated— especially Cottage Resident Helen Rose for her piano accompaniment, our Activity Staff for their help with sticking with us even when we do not know exactly what we want and for our Culinary Staff for all their help. We could not do it without you. We were also so glad to see so many of our residents who are not of Hungarian background—we received such good reviews from you too. Our mission here at the Cultural Center is to reach out to all our residents and friends. We spent a blessed and traditional Easter with prayer and of course, our Hungarian tradition of presenting piros tojas-red eggs, and sprinkling our ladies. Easter is a time of rebirth, both in nature and in our souls! A VERY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY AND FATHER'S DAY - to all our residents and friends! On Thursday, May 1st - We will be holding our second annual MAY DAY CELEBRATION — this day is held to give thanks not only for our residents and friends, but also to thank our very hard working employees of the Bethlen Community. EVERYONE IS INVITED!! - to our Hungarian Gulyas Cookout, including dessert from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 p.m. See you there for good fellowship, food and music. With better weather in the forecast, our Cultural Center Staff will be holding get-togethers for our residents outside in the cool shade of our office (next to the chapel). All residents are welcome to visit with us and enjoy pleasant music, poetry, jokes and of course, delicious Hungarian snacks! Both Edit Szép and Baba Ujvági welcome all suggestions and comments that will help expand our program. Please feel free to call us at 724-238-2032.
