(Actibit\j pltgljltgíjtsí UPCOMING ATTRACTIONS During the months of November and December, the following programs will be held in addition to the regularly scheduled programs. Residents and families will be able to review the weekly events posted on the bulletin board located near each Nursing Station and the Activity Room. Schedules in the newsletter are subject to change, due to scheduling of programs being done several months in advance. For your convenience, a monthly calendar and a monthly in-house newsletter are posted in each resident's room. Families are welcome to attend our activities. Additional calendars are available through the Activity Department. NOVEMBER HIGHLIGHTS DECEMBER HIGHLIGHTS Thursday, 7th: Sunshine Brothers' Clothing will be here from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with their fall/winter line of clothing. Residents will have an opportunity to do some shopping. Monday, 11th: Happy Veterans' Day Everyone! Please join us in honoring our resident Veterans with a special church service beginning at 11:00 a.m. followed with a Tribute Luncheon. Friday, 15th: Valley School Children will be here to visit with the Adopt a Grandparent Program at 1:00 p.m. Monday, 25th: Join us for our annual Harvest Dinner and church service starting at 11:00 a.m. in the Dining Room. Details will be announced. Wednesday, 27th: Thanksgiving party and entertainment will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Thursday, 28th: Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!! tt tt tt WINTER SIGNS Under the tents of cedar trees Are feathery tracks of chickadees. The blue jays stop their scolding now In splendor from a shaken bough. We look up through the brief designs That fall in whispers from the pines. Below are life's small signatures On this hushed beauty that endures. And with the winter signs, we show Upon this unspoiled page of snow How surely in it we confide With our own footsteps, side by side. Holiday decorating will begin starting Monday, December 2nd through Thursday, December 5th. Wednesday, 4th: Kick off the Holiday Season by joining us for Light Up Night at 6:45 p.m. on the 1st floor patio. Thursday, 5th: VFW Christmas Party and a visit from Santa will be held starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Dining Room. Monday, 9th through Friday, 13th: Santa's Workshop Week. Residents will have the opportunity to have the Activity Staff help with their holiday decorating, wrapping, card writing, etc. Details will be announced. Saturday, 14th: Holiday entertainment at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Sunday, 15th: Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. to honor the memory of former residents who have passed on during the past six months. Residents are welcome to attend. Thursday, 19th: Volunteer Christmas Luncheon to be held at 12:00 Noon. Monday, 23rd: Holiday Open House and Resident Christmas Party will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Tuesday, 24th: Christmas Eve - Residents will be receiving gifts from their Secret Santa throughout the day. Wednesday, 25th: Merry Christmas everyone!!! Tuesday, 31st: Join us for our annual New Year's Eve Celebration starting at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room.
