^etlqlzn (üultural (Eentev We were pleased to surprise the Revs. Lajos and Erzsébet Fábián with a celebration of their wedding anniversary at our annual picnic! May God continue to bless their won­derful work. Later that evening, we enjoyed guitar play­ing and the wonderful voice of Rev. Leslie Martin. He is an amaz­ing per­former!! Play it again Les!!! Monday, Szeptember 23, the Cultural Center helped sponsor a unique musical group from Erdély. Szászcsávás, a band of tre­mendous musicians who performed at LigonierTown Hall, followed by a recep­tion at our conference hall. It was especially good to see so many Bethlen Home residents and employees attend the concert. We thank the New York Hun­garian Cultural Center and especially Kálmán Magyar for this opportunity. Residents enjoying Szászcsávás mini performance in Dining Hall. We had a visit from Branch 18 of the William Penn from Detroit area on September 13. Director Michael Walker held a short informational meeting with the group, answering questions about The Bethlen Home Ministries. A Hungarian lunch followed, along with a tour of all our facilities. We had the pleasure of meet­ing up with the Branch again the following day at the William Penn Picnic. It was good to see old friends. Director Michael Walker welcoming Branch 18 William Penn Association October 5 - The Kossuth Club of Western PA hosted a Harvest Picnic here at our picnic area. Congratu­lations to the Hungarian Reformed Federation Branches who sponsored this event. All who came had a good time! Enjoying Kossuth Club Harvest Picnic A special Thank You goes out to all the staff who helped make this concert a success. With great sadness we report that one of our most faithful members of the Magyar Kor passed away recently. Mr. Sándor Kőrösmezei will be greatly missed, and we remember him with love. We would like to thank his family for their kind donation of Hun­garian items; they will remind us of Sandorbacsi.
