pttgíjítgljts UPCOMING ATTRACTIONS During the months of December and January, the following programs are going to be held, along with the regularly scheduled programs. Residents and families will be able to review the weekly events posted on the bulletin board located near each Nursing Station and Activity Room. Schedules in the newsletter are subject to change, due to scheduling of programs being done several months in advance. For your convenience, monthly calendars and a monthly in-house newsletter are posted in each resident's room. Families are welcome to attend our activities. DECEMBER HIGHLIGHTS Wednesday, 1st: The monthly Resident Health Sup­port Group will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Solarium. This month's topic is "Dealing with Holiday Stress". Thursday, 2nd: Resident Council at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. VFW Christmas Party at 6:30 p.m in the Dining Room. Saturday, 4th: Happy Hanukkah! Holiday Bingo Party at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, 5th: Sleigh rides to begin at 1:30 in jfc the afternoon, followed by refreshments in the Dining Room. In case of bad weather, the {jfm^ sleigh rides will then be held on the 19th. Monday, 6th through the 9th: Santa's Work shop Days. Anyone needing assistance in gift wrapping, Christmas cards being ad­dressed, shopping, rooms decorated, etc. should see the Activity Department. Free gift wrap and cards are available. Tuesday, 7th: Outing scheduled. Wednesday, 8th: Join Susan for a Holiday Graham Cracker House Village demonstration at 6:30 p.m. in the Activity Room. Thursday, 9th: Holiday entertainment at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Saturday, 11th: Cooking class at 1:30 p.m. in the Activity Room. Join us in making old fashioned hard tac candy. Sunday, 12th: Join the Lights of the Valley at 3:00 p.m. in the Dining Room for their Holiday Program. Monday, 13th: What's Christmas without mak­ing holiday goodies? Join us in making Christmas cookies at 2:00 p.m. in the Activ­ity Room. Wednesday, 15th: Join Pastor Johns for a hymn sing and holiday message at 6:30 p.m. in the Solarium. Thursday, 16th: Outing scheduled. Join us for an evening of dinner and viewing the holiday lights around the area; watch for details. Friday, 17th: Entertainment at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, 18th: An old fashioned holiday singalong and pizza party will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room, ^ Monday, 20th: Live Nativity and Bell Choir per- ^ formance at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. ^ Tuesday, 21st: Join us in singing holiday carols to residents who are unable to leave their room start­ing at 6:30 p.m. in the Dining Room. Wednesday, 22nd: The First Day of Winter. Resident Christmas Party with entertainment pro­vided by Cliff Spratt at 2:00 p.m. Full Gospel Church will be doing hall caroling in the evening starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, 23rd: Christmas Gifts to be distributed. Friday, 24th: Christmas Eve. Holiday Open House for Residents and their family from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Din­ing Room. Saturday, 25th: Merry Christmas everyone!!! Tuesday, 28th: Birthday Party at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Wednesday, 29th and Thursday, 30th: Join us in preparing our time capsule for The New Millennium. Friday, 31st: New Year's Eve. Join us in bringing and ringing in the New Year at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room with our entertainment provided by the Gene Peterson Trio.
