&ctüutp 3^tSÖItSÖtsí FOLK ENSEMBLE VISITS BETHLEN Recently, the residents and staff received a surprise visit from the group Üsztürü, a Hungarian Folk Mu­sic ensemble from Marosvásárhely, Transylvania who are currently performing in the United States. The group preformed a high energy program playing a variety of traditional Hungarian folk music to pop music. The group received their training from great masters of Transylvania music such as Sándor Fodor and Ferenc Árus to name a few. Members of the community were also invited to this rare treat. Many "Thanks" to the members of the group for shar­ing their wonderful talents and music with our resi­dents, staff and community during your recent tour of the states. Your kindness was greatly appreciated. "Heartfelt Thanks" to Joan Manges, Helen Weller and Lois Simon from the Legion Women's Auxiliary in Ligonier for all their hard work and efforts into mak­ing the beautiful lap robes and wheelchair/walker storage bags for our residents. They were very much needed and appreciated. "Thanks" to the New Florence Women's Club for the beautiful lap robes that were recently donated to our facility. Your kindness and thoughtfulness were very much appreciated. "Thanks" to Emma Walter and Millie Shirey for their recent donation of clothing items to the facility. Thank You for thinking of us. "Thanks" to the Zerinvary Family for their recent do­nation to the Activity Department in honor of their mother, Renaît Zerinvary, who recently celebrated her 97th birthday. Last year The Bethlen Home Staff participated in a Memory Walk for the Laurel Mountain Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. We won the roving trophy for the year!! This year's Memory Walk will be in Oc­tober and we have been having several fund raisers at The Bethlen Home to assist the teams for the Walk. If you are interested in participating in this year's Walk or in making a donation, please contact Pat Armel, Social Service at The Bethlen Home.
