Residents and families will be able to review the weekly events posted on the bulletin board located near each Nursing Station and the Activity Room. Schedules in the newsletter are subject to change, due to scheduling of programs being done several months in advance. For your convenience, a monthly calendar and a monthly in-house newsletter are posted in each resident's room. Families are welcome to attend our activities. MAY HIGHLIGHTS Tuesday, 2nd: Outing scheduled...watch for details. Thursday, 4th: Resident Council meeting at 1:30 p.m. in the Dining Room. VFW Bingo at 6:30 p.m in the Dining Room. Friday, 5th: Place your bet for your favorite horse for the Kentucky Derby! Saturday, 6th: Ketucky Derby Social at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, 23rd: In honor of National Pickle Day, a pickle treat will be passed out room to room in the afternoon starting at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, 31st: May Birthday Party to be held at 2:00 p.m. JUNE HIGHLIGHTS Tuesday, 9th: Today is Mother Ocean Day! Learn about the sea at 2:00 p.m. in the Solarium. Thursday, 11th: Learn about wildflowers at 2:00 p.m. in the Solarium. Friday, 12th: Mother's Day Social and Entertainment to be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Dining Room. Saturday, 13th: Remember Mother Social at 2:00 p.m. in the Solarium. National Nursing Home Week starts May 14 through the 20. In honor of this special week, the Activity Staff will be holding Old Fashioned Days. Come join in on the fun. ÜÀ Sunday, 14th: Happy Mother's Day everyone! w jJ Monday, 15th: Join us for some old fashioned lawn games starting at 2:00 p.m. on the 1st floor patio. Tuesday, 16th: Test your skill at some old fashioned games at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, 18th: Join us for a lawn picnic with all your favorites at 12:00 Noon on the 1st floor patio. Friday, 19th: Join us for an old fashioned singalong at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Saturday, 20th: A Strawberry Social will be held at 2:00 p.m. with entertainment. Sunday, 21 st: Lights of the Valley will perform at 3:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Thursday, 1st: Med Care Clothing Wagon will be in the Dining Room from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with their summer clothing line. Residents and families are welcome to shop. Volunteers and staff will be available to help you. Monday, 5th: National Donut Day! What better way to celebrate then to pass out a donut for breakfast. Sunday, 11th: Lights of the Valley will perform their program at 3:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Wednesday, 14th: Flag Day...Join us in celebrating the American Flag with a cookout at 12:00 Noon on the 1st floor patio. Thursday, 15th: Men's Only Gathering 2:00 p.m. in the Solarium. Friday, 16th: Father's Day Social at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room with entertainment. Saturday, 17th: Father's Day Treat for Men Only at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Sunday 18th: Happy Father's Day. Saturday, 24th: Ice Cream Party Social at 2:00 p.m. Friday, 30th: June Birthday Party at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room.
