I can't express enough how appreciative and wonderful the gift choice was that you gave me. As many of you know, my favorite hobby is decorative painting. Needless to say, I was speechless when you presented the gift certificate for my painting classes. Thank You again for your kindness. God bless you. It's never easy to decide who it will be, because, in our hearts, they're all winners every day of the year! This year's winners are THERESA ROGERS and BOB BROWNING. Congratulations to you both for a job well done! Theresa and Bob have both been volunteering since September of 1996. Every Tuesday you see their smiling faces coming to visit while they share the gospel among their regular list of resident friends. Once a month, you can also find Theresa and Bob leading a Hymn Sing for the residents with several other members of the Ligonier Baptist Church. The residents enjoy singing the old time gospel favorites and listening to new songs planned for the evening. They always have a full house. Congratulations to you both, and we look forward to working with you for many years to come. VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION WEEK CELEBRATED Throughout the year, thousands of individuals can be found sharing their time and talents among various community groups in their local cities and towns. Many of these people can be found working in youth programs, soup kitchens, environmental settings and long term care facilities such as ours. During National Volunteer Recognition Week in April, The Bethlen Home and its Activity Department will be honoring their Volunteers for their hard work and dedication they put forth to our Home and residents. A luncheon and award presentation program will be held, with a theme of "Volunteering is a Healthy Habit!". Volunteers provide a number of services here at the Home, from delivering library books, visitation, nailcare, working with crafts and, the most important, lending a listening ear. You can also be guaranteed a smile and a laugh upon each and every visit. Thanks for a job well done everyone!
