Residents will be able to review the weekly events on the bulletin boards located near each Nursing Station and by the Activity Room. Schedules are subject to change, due to scheduling of programs three months in advance. JUNE HIGHLIGHTS Thursday, 5th: National Nursing Assistant's Day! Make sure you tell your caregiver how much you appreciate them for all the hard work they put forth providing your care. A kind word goes a long way. Sunshine Brothers Clothing Wagon ..ill be here from * 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room for your shopping pleasure. Volunteers and Activity Staff will be available for help. Friday, 6th: In honor of National Donut Day today, a treat of your favorite type of donuts will be distrib- SÊ? uted for breakfast this morning to both Residents and Staff. specialty drinks for the summer. I'm sure many of you remember the frozen slush's, tropical drinks, etc. Happy Hour will be held at 2:00 p.m. outdoors on the 2nd floor patio, weather permitting. (Otherwise it will be held in the Solarium) JULY HIGHLIGHTS Thursday, 3rd: A cookout will be held at 12:00 Noon in honor of the upcoming holiday. Friday, 4th: HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYONE!! There will be no activities this day, due to it being a scheduled holiday. Tuesday, 10th: Let's go fishing! A fun afternoon is A travel film of Mexico will be held in the afternoon planned for the guys starting at 2:00 p.m. at 2:30 p.m. with some traditional Mexican treats. Wednesday, 11th: Men's only outing! Details to be announced. Thursday, 12th: A variety of men's games will be held in the afternoon, such as Lawn Darts, Horse Shoes, etc. Come join in on the fun. Friday, 13th: A Father's Day Luncheon will be held at 12:00 Noon with a few added surprises. IAR I COt Saturday, 14th: HAPPY FLAG DAY! Be sure to wear your red, white and blue. A Patriotic Sing-along will be held in the afternoon starting at 2:00 p.m. June is also known as Frozen Yogurt Month. A room to room treat will be served during the afternoon. Sunday, 15th: HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! Tuesday, 17th: When you see Bobbie from Activities be sure to wish her a Happy Birthday! Thursday, 19th: Now that warm weather is here, we will be starting to have regular Happy Hours with Tuesday, 8th: Alaska is our next visiting state. Come play the Eskimo Game at 2:00 p.m. in the Solarium. Snow cones will also be distributed this afternoon. Wednesday, 9th: Today we visit Hawaii. Tropical drinks and a travel film will be held in the afternoon at 2:00 p.m., watch for details. Thursday, 10th: Today our Residents will enjoy a Texas BBQ with all the fixing's starting at 12:00 Noon. Later in the afternoon, games will be held. Friday, 11th: As we head for home, we will stop in Ohio to visit Sea World. A film of underwater sea life will be shown, along with a few added surprises. Saturday, 12th: As we finally return home to Ligonier, we will make one last stop in Latrobe, PA, where the first Banana Split was invented, for a treat. Banana splits will be served at 2:00 p.m. at the Ice Cream Social in the Solarium. All are welcome to attend.
