|lítgijítgíjts Spring is just around the corner... Thank Goodness!! Many of you folks are aware that Ligonier received their share of snow this winter. Our most recent blizzard left us with 28 inches of snow and more in the Laurel Mountains. This also has caused terrible flooding in this area. Many of the homes located below the nursing home complex were affected, and the families had to be evacuated. Several of our employees were involved in this. Thank God that He blessed them with safety and not a lot of damage to their homes. Needless to say, we're looking forward to having sunshine!! SPRING CRAFT SHOW The Activity Department and Volunteers will be holding their annual Spring Craft Show on Friday, March 22nd and Saturday, March 23rd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Tickets are available through the Gift Shop and Activity Department. Anyone wishing to donate a craft item, etc. towards the fundraiser may do so by bringing it to the Activity Department. The public is welcome to attend, hope to see you there! SPRING CALENDAR Agnes Ranney March is a tomboy of carefree air In old blue jeans with a patch on the knee, And a romping walk, and a laugh that's free, And she catches your heart in her tousled hair. April comes, weeping in rain drenched sorrow That turns to flirtation from laughing eyes. A tease, a temptress, a gay surprise... Who knows what April will be tomorrow? May enters with birdsong and ducks on the pond. With arms full of blossoms, and bees in the clover, And when May is gone, spring is over, is over; Spring is behind us, but summer's beyond!!! FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP March is Eye Care Month. In keeping with this theme, the Bethlen Home will be having a Family Support Group gathering on Tuesday, March 12. Charisse Horrell. R.N. will be discussing the yearly Eye Clinic that is offered at the Bethlen Home. This is open to all family and friends. PLEASE plan to attend this informal get-together. If you have questions, please cal! Pat Armel, Social Service at 238-6711. COLORING EGGS by Laurie Dawson In the country long ago Eggs were colored touch and go; We didn't have a color kit But each egg had a gay outfit. Mom saved scraps that faded red Eggs were wrapped and tied with thread, I loved the ones in calico They were special touch and go. We gathered grass to make them green These in kit were never seen; An artist with the finest brush Could never paint a green so lush. When they'd boiled and cooled enough We took off the dressing stuff; Oh, what colors and what glow We had made with touch and go! EASTER PROMISE Virginia Bianck Moore It sometimes seems that wintertime Will last forevermore, And snow and sleet and biting winds Are all life holds in store. But suddenly a miracle Takes place before our eyes... The grass turns green and tulips bloom Beneath bright springtime skies. Thus is God's Easter pledge fulfilled With every year that goes... That life will spring from seeming death As Christ the Savior rose.
