Residents will be able to review the weekly events on the bulletin boards located near each Nursing Station and by the Activity Room. SEPTEMBER HIGHLIGHTS Residents are invited to help out on scheduled days in preparing for the Bazaar. The saying goes "Many hands make light work." Thursday, 5th: An outing to see the leaves and for lunch is scheduled. Thursday, 12th: Dig out your favorite hat for it's National Hat Day. A social gathering will be held in the afternoon, along with refreshments and discus­sions of the history of your hats. Remember, the more unique the better! Friday, 13th: In honor of National Laundry and House­keepers' week a social will be held for them in the after­noon. So Residents, remember to thank them for their hard work that they provide to you everyday. Thursday, 19th: The Wardrobe Clothing Wagon will be here with their Fall and Winter selections from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Dining Room. Friday, 20th: A treat of your favorite melons will be distributed in the afternoon, room to room. Monday, 23rd: In honor of National Pancake Day, a Pan­cake Breakfast will be held from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Activity Room. Thursday, 26th: An outing to see the leaves and for will be held. Details to be announced and posted. OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS Thursday, 3rd: Outing scheduled. Friday, 4th: National Popcorn Day and what bet­ter way to celebrate, than to have a social with a variety of different flavors to snack on. Games are also planned for the afternoon. Thursday, 10th: A German/American Luncheon is planned with some of your favorite dishes. Details to be announced. Friday, 11th: National Dessert Day will be celebrated by letting you sample some of your favorite desserts in the afternoon. Tuesday, 15th: Pizza Party planned for lunchtime with all of your favorite toppings. Thursday, 17th: Outing scheduled. Monday, 21st: A special treat will be distributed in honor of the "Sweetest Day". Thursday, 25th: Being that October is known for finger foods, etc., a Finger Foods Luncheon will be held with a variety of finger foods such as pizza, chicken wings and onion rings to name a few. Monday 28th through the 31 st is Halloween Week and Bazaar Countdown Week. Monday 28th: Halloween Games are scheduled for the morning group sessions. Tuesday, 29th: Halloween Games are scheduled for the morning and the afternoon. Be prepared for the see and feel game!!!!! Wednesday, 30th: Spooks Luncheon serving all your fa­vorite roadkill!!! at 12 noon in the Solarium. Thursday, 31st: HAPPY HALLOWEEN... Residents and Staff are encouraged to dress up in costume and judging will be held at 12 noon for the Staff. Residents will be judged at the afternoon party which starts at 1:30, with entertainment provided by Cliff Spratt. Spooky Witches Brew and snacks to be served. NOVEMBER HIGHLIGHTS Friday, 1st: Bazaar Setup Saturday, 2nd: Bazaar opens at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, 3rd: Bazaar opens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every­one welcome. Monday 4th: Bazaar cleanup Thursday, 7th: Shopping Day outing for one of our'’qjj|$l Christmas shopping trips, so start planning your lists. Friday, 8th: National Sandwich Day ... a luncheon will be held and you will be able to make your own sandwich to order. Thursday, 21st: Shopping Day outing. This will be the last shopping day for anyone who will need to purchase items for Christmas. Wednesday, 27th: Thanksgiving Party to be held in the afternoon at 1:30 with entertainment provided by Cliff Spratt. Thursday, 28th: HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! NOTE: HOLIDAY DECORATING WILL BEGIN STARTING THE FIRST WEEK IN DECEMBER. Residents are encour­aged to decorate their rooms. Please have your family bring in decorations, etc. and Volunteers will be available to help decorate.
