Box 657, Ligonier, PA 15658-0657 WINTER ISSUE MEETING OUR NEW DIRECTOR OF NURSING If you happen to be going by the second floor nursing office, you will notice a new face among the staff members. The staff extends a warm welcome to our new Director of Nursing, Cathy Kunkle. Cathy is a lifelong resident of Westmoreland County. She and her family reside in New Alexandria, Pennsylvania. She received her Registered Nursing Degree from the Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, and her B.S. Degree from Indiana University. She is a Clinical Instructor at the Westmoreland County Community College and a former Nursing Supervisor from Greensburg’s Redstone Presbyterian Home. People would be surprised to learn that one of her favorite hobbies is singing. She is a soprano, and is a member and soloist for her church choir. She is also a member of the St. Vincent College Camerata, in which she sings in various languages and dresses in specially designed costumes from the Renaissance Era. Cathy’s main goal here at the home is to maintain and encourage good communication between her staff and the residents. Pictured left to right: Director of Nursing Cathy Kunkle and Administrator Rev.
