^Restîteni 8c jitaff profiles by Resident Susan Wargo Resident Susan Wargo came up with the suggestion of having a column of profiles for the new admissions and new employees. Listed below are several profiles done by Susan. We hope you enjoy them. Edie Nesmith - Staff Member Edie recently started working here as a LPN Nurse on the afternoon shift. She is a graduate of Johnstown Vo-Tech School, and this is her first job. Edie is a native of New Florence, PA, and she also is married and has two sons, ages 5 and 11 years. She will be celebrating her 13th Wedding Anniversary. She is a former Army brat. Her father served in the service for 22 years. During that time, she traveled extensively throughout Europe, Germany and Italy. She enjoys raising house plants and having a flower garden. One of her favorite things is cooking complete meals for a large family gathering such as “Thanksgiving”. John Grubb - Staff Member John is a recent graduate from Johnstown Vo-Tech and is a Certified Nursing Assistant. He also served in the Air Force for 8 months in the medical field. He currently is studying for his certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. He currently lives with his family in Johnstown, and works weekends at Rizzo’s Restaurant. He enjoys television, sports and working on model cars. He also enjoys playing basketball and currently sings in the choir at Johnstown Christian Church. His favorite foods are pizza and Big Mac hamburgers. His pet peeve is driving behind people who are going too slow. Welcome to Bethlen Home! We hope you will enjoy working with us. Adam Pasko - Resident Adam is 76 years young and is a former Laundry Worker at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. While working at the hospital, he lived in their dorms and would go home to his hometown of Whitney, PA on weekends. At his home, Adam enjoyed gardening and was especially known for his “Beefsteak” tomatoes. He also enjoyed sharing his harvest with his family and friends. Along with gardening, he enjoys television and sports. His favorite baseball team is none other than the Pirates, and his football choice is the Steelers. Even though Adam comes from a Slovish background, he says his favorite foods are steak and potatoes. Adam has five brothers, three sisters, and several nieces. But his pride and joy is his pet dog. Kathleen “Kathy” Steele - Staff Member Kathy is a recent graduate of Johnstown Vo-Tech, and is a LPN Nurse on afternoon shift here at the Bethlen Home. This is also her first job. Kathy currently lives with her parents in Jennerstown, PA, along with her younger brother. She also has a cocker spaniel named “Sassy”, who is her pride and joy. She tells us that Sassy is very smart and was born on Christmas Day. Kathy will be planning a wedding in the future. Her fiance is a student at the University of Pittsburgh in Johnstown, PA. He is studying to be a physics teacher. She enjoys fishing, reading, camping, and loves working with the elderly.
