iättiWty íí03 Upcoming Events January A special Lunch will be held on Friday, January 10th in the Solarium. In honor of it being National Soup Month, a menu of homemade soup and sandwiches is planned. Details will be posted. A special pizza party will be held during the week of January 12th. A pie eating contest will be held on Thursday, January 23rd. The Family Support Group meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday the 16th in the Dining Room. The topic scheduled for discussion is "Living Wills". Popcorn treat day will be on Monday the 27th. This is also National Popcorn Day and what better way to celebrate than popcorn with a movie. A special day of fun and a lot of laughter will be held on Tuesday the 28th in the afternoon. If you never played an instrument your in for a fun treat. February The King and Queen of Hearts Contest will be held starting February 1st. All residents will be eligible for the drawing. Three names will be drawn for King and Queen and these names will be posted. Staff, family, residents, etc. are encouraged to vote for their favorite nominee. Good luck to everyone. A special program will be held on the 4th in honor of the USO's 51st Birthday. I'm sure many of those old songs will be bringing back a lot of memories. A special outing for breakfast will be held during National Pancake Week starting the 9th. Details will be posted. A special Valentines Party, along with the crowning of the King and Queen of Hearts, will be held on the 14th. Special entertainment and refreshments are planned. French Fry Friday will be held on the 21st. You will have to come to the Activity Room to see what this program is about. Chinese New Year's starts on the 15th. A special luncheon Chinese style along with a New Years Party is planned. Details will be posted. Several outings will also be scheduled. During the month of February, we will be doing two surprise outings. Details will be posted at a later date. Regular activities such as Bible Study, Movies, Bingo, Crafts, etc. will be held weekly during these months. Weekly schedules are posted near the nursing stations.
