Birthday "Thanks"

I would like to take this opportunity to "Thank" Bethlen Home Staff Activity Assistant Ann Woodall and resident Olga Szabo for all their hard work in planning my surprise birthday party. "Thanks" to volunteers Virginia Woodward and Nancy Robertson for throwing me off track by taking me to lunch that day.

Words could not express the look on my face when I walked in on all of my residents and volunteers. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness in coming out to share my special day.

The big surprise was yet to come when the male dancer walked in dressed as a policeman. Our lady residents especially enjoyed this. The dancer was very tasteful in his performance due to this being held in a nursing home environment. Needless to say my face was red with surprise!

I would also like to "Thank" all my volunteers and staff for the wonderful gift certificate.

Our Father, in our midst as we eagerly come together, and in our hearts as we open them reverently and eagerly for Thy cleansing and healing grace, we beseech Thee to cause Thy face to shine upon us that we may be saved.

Heavenly Father we thank Thee for the fertility of the soil, for our partnership with Thee in bountiful harvest. We thank Thee for the glint of gold in the grain, for the brown of the shock of com, for the impressive grandeur of mountain peaks reflecting Thy handiwork.

We thank Thee for the manifold power and prosperity bestowed upon our country, for its significance in world leadership, for the profound sense of obligation and responsibility affecting our leaders. We pray Thee to deepen our national and personal devotion to Thee and to the work to be done to justify our claim "In God we trust", to the praise of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Special "Birthday Greetings" to the following residents who will be celebrating their special day in the following months.

Each month a special Birthday party will be held. Details will be posted at each nursing station.
