&cttWtp ©írtíjirap Many of our residents enjoy gardening both indoors and out. This year you will find a small vegetable garden located off the second floor patio that several of the residents have enjoyed working on. They are looking forward to their soon to be seen results. This year the residents decided to plant onions, peppers, tomatoes and lettuce in their garden. You will also be able to find strawberries and pansies in the flower boxes located on the first floor patio. Special "Thanks" to residents, Colin Taylor, Elizabeth Toth, Blanche Demangone and Marian Feight who have been working so hard on preparing the garden. The following poems are dedicated to our "green thumb" residents. SEEDS by: Patience Strong If you scatter seeds of kindness on the path you tread... The winds of time will carry them along the road ahead. Somewhere by the way they'll fall and grow and multiply. Someday you’ll be cheered to see them as you're passing by. Out there in the future on a road you cannot see...You will pluck the flowers of friendship and felicity...At the moment that you need it you will always find someone helpful, someone with a heart that's good and kind. Friendship's Garden by: Carice Williams A garden is like friendship, for when we give it care, some love and understanding it blossoms sweet and fair. A garden is like friendship, without kind words and deeds too soon its blossoms vanish, Its beauty crushed by weeds. Keep friendship's garden blooming with love and kindly cheer, and watch its beauty growing more lovely every year.
