FALL ISSUE SEPTEMBER • OCTOBER • NOVEMBER, 1990 Sctitttp g GATEWAY CUPPER Each year the Bethlen Home Activity Department enjoys taking a group of residents for a luncheon cruise on the Gateway Clipper. This cruise is always special especially for our wheelchair patients. This gives many of them an opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of Pittsburgh. The weather was beautiful and each resident had their picture taken with the ship's photographer. The day ended by stopping at the local ice cream stand. Pictured are Resident Olga Szabo, JuniorVolunteer Lindsey Morhack and Resident Marian F eight. FORE! Resident Colin Taylor gets a few practice swings in while waiting for lunch at Pat & Ed MacKenzie's home. Colin is 91 years young and hits those golf balls like a pro. Colin would practice every morning before leaving for work. Special "Thanks" to Pat and Ed for their super hospitality. The residents are still talking about it!! Pictured, Resident Colin Taylor. We think your ready for The Senior Open! ■HJNIOR VOLUNTEERS Each summer the Bethlen Home Activity Department enjoys having Junior Volunteers help with special programs, outings, cookouts, etc. This year the Bethlen Home is blessed to have Heidi Caldwell and Lindsey Morhack participate in the program. They have been very helpful and enjoyable both to the residents and the Activity Department. They will truly be missed when it is time for them to go back to school. Thanks again ladies for all your hard work and help during the summer. We enjoyed having you and hope you will continue to visit us throughout the year.
