Summer 2010 Branch 501, 502—St. George, NJ Three graduations of members took place in Branch 501. Granddaughter Erica Christine Pauli graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociol­ogy. She will pursue a career in Clinical Psychology and will eventually go for her Master’s Degree. A portion of her college year was spent studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland. Our other granddaughter, Nicole Al­exander, graduated from California State University in Chico, CA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences with a minor in Foodservices Administration and another in Business Administration. Richard Michael Pauli graduated from J. P. Stevens High School and was accepted into Mason Gross School of Mu­sic at Rutgers University in New Bruns­wick, N. J. Richard was very active in the High School Marching Band, the Jazz Ensemble and the New Jersey Allstate Music Ensemble. Richard also marched with the Hawthorne Caballeros Senior Drum and Bugle Corps. Our Branch Members in California sent in three shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Very Rev. Basil Rakaczky, our Pastor for many decades and a member of our Branch 501, has returned to Hungary. He is now at the Basilian Fathers’ Shrine of MariaPocs in Hungary. We miss him very much and will keep him in our thoughts and prayers. Warm-Up America Warm-Up America, the Fraternal Proj­ect, continues on. In partners with it is the Knit One, Save One Campaign and Save the Children who have a project for knitted and crocheted caps for newborn infants. Each hat takes approximately one hour to knit and may be made of any leftover yarn. Over the past year, I knitted about fifty hats for newborn infants. When my great grandson, Ethan Michael Master- son, was born in March, he became the Erica Christine Pauli Nicole Alexander Four generations: from left to right: Mrs. Margaret Pauli, Mrs, Laura Masterson (Mrs. Pauli’s granddaughter) with her son, Ethan Michael Masterson and Mrs. Kathleen Melanson (Mrs. Pauli’s daughter) recipient of many caps that I had knitted. My granddaughter Laura Masterson donated the remainder to the Maternity Ward of the hospital where Ethan was born. The nursing staff was very appre ciative of the donation.
