201 □ Join Hands Day May 1, 201 0 Branch 151—Beaver Falls, PA April 24, 2010—New Brighton Christina Assembly Church in New Brighton Our day began early with Joe and me cleaning the Venetian blinds, the windows, and the woodwork around the windows. We had help inside the sanctuary. More people began to show up and looked at the schedule to see what needed to be done. During the day, some of them cleaned baseboards, walls, chairs, sides of the pews, and some waxed the furniture. The inside of the lobby, the visitor center, the information center, and the bathrooms were cleaned as well. After an early morning rain, we proceeded to work outdoors. We planted and cleaned around bushes and raked the leaves as well. The parking area had to be refinished too. It was fun to work together and to get acquainted with those one does not see that often. Lunch was served by the ladies in the church which consisted of sandwiches, bags of chips, potato salad, and a bottle of water with two large chocolate chip cookies. The following Sunday was a joy to see the fruits of our labor as a video was shown with everyone who worked. The pastors were thrilled about the completed cleaning and thanked everyone.
