Fraternity I Testvériség Hope Adela Pásztor—Branch 151 A s an English major, minoring in fashion merchandising, two of my biggest academic passions are writing and fashion. Combined, the perfect outlet for these interests is fashion journalism. Over the years, I’ve been able to demonstrate my writing abilities and knowledge of fashion in several different ways. From August of 2008 to May of 2010,1 wrote a weekly fashion column for our local newspaper, “The Sentinel.” I interviewed local boutique owners, predicted the latest trends, and even interviewed an America’s Next Top Model winner. This past August, I started writing editorial fashion articles for the up-and- coming personal style website, Chictopia. com. I am currently the most frequently- published contributing editor on Chictopia. Last month, I was personally asked to write a guest blog post for Talbots. I also write frequent posts on my own personal fashion blog. Although fashion journalism is my greatest forte, my writing abilities extend into other academic areas. Last year, while taking an AP Macroeconomics class, I contacted the editors of the economically- focused website Enter Stage Right where four of my economics essays were subsequently published. Despite my load of college classes and involvement with the aforementioned interests, I have always been highly involved in church activities. Since I was born, I have attended morning, evening and Wednesday night church services nearly every week. Additionally, from 6th grade through my senior year of high school, I attended weekly youth group meetings and actively participated in youth group- related service projects and special events. Despite my transition from high school into college, I continue to attend all three church services in addition to participating in bi-weekly Bible study and college student luncheons. For the past three summers, I have worked for Tippecanoe Country Club. I am a member of the Hungarian Presbyterian Church in Youngstown and the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America.
