AMERIKAI MAGYAR REFORMÁTUS EGYHÁZ — HUNGARIAN REFORMED CHURCH IN AMERICA EASTER GREETINGS—HÚSVÉTI KÖSZÖNTŐ Dear Sisters and Brothers, elders and members of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, May the reality of Easter bring you the joy and the hope of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. May the victory won for us on the Cross enable us to overcome the temptation of the devil and covetness of this world. May the grace and the blessings through the precious Blood of our Savior remain upon us always and enable us to proclaim boldly the Good News of the empty tomb to the world and the power of the Resurrection to everybody. May the Risen King and Savior bless richly all of us at this feast of love, hope and victory. We believe that death could not hold Him in the grave as He arose victorious on the third day morning! Jesus was, is, and will be alive for all of eternity and for that we are forever grateful because as He lives, we too have everlasting life if we simply accept Him as Savior. There can be no acceptance of Christ without faith and belief that in fact those words "were" true, and "are" true. Faith had to be expressed even from those who saw Christ following the Resurrection since no one had ever risen from the dead other than the miracles Jesus performed. In this faith, I pray for the successful work and service of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. “You know that everything you do for Him is worthwhile.” On behalf of the elders and members of the congregations of the Hungarian Reformed Church in America, with brotherly love: Sándor Szabó, Bishop Kedves Testvérek, az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyesület vezetői, tagjai! Az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyház közössége nevében köszöntök mindenkit húsvétkor, az élet ünnepén. A feltámadás ünnepe a keresztyénség egyik legtitokzatosabb ünnepe. Arról beszél, hogy ahol az ember élete véget ér, ahol az ember gondolatai megszakadnak, ott kezdődik Isten útja. Ezt csak hitünkkel foghatjuk fel, ez nem a mi korlátáink közé szorítható esemény, hanem Isten logikája. Itt nem magunkra kell nézni, hanem Istenre a feltámadott Krisztus által. Ez az ünnep a hit ünnepe. A húsvétban arra bíztat Isten, hogy gyakoroljuk hitünket, használjuk feszítő erőként, építsük általa a közösségünket, segítsünk másokon, hogy általa azok is erőssé váljanak. Azért imádkozom, hogy amint eddig is így volt, ezt a hittel gazdagított húsvéti erőt vigye tovább az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyesület vezetősége, minden tagja a mindennapi munkájába, szolgálatába, tudva, hogy ez a munka „nem hiábavaló az Úrban”. Where, O death, is your sting?” and “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. ” 1 Corinthians 15:55 and 57. This word appears in the New Testament five times, three times here in this chapter where apostle Paul deals with the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15) as well as in Matthew 12:20 and 1 John 5:4. For us victory means defeating the enemy and surviving the struggle.
