HRFA Annual Fraternal Meeting & Awards By Gyula Balogh Thanks to the efforts of our Fraternal Coordinators, and Branches, we achieved the Gold Medal Award from the National Fraternal Congress of America. Initially we did not receive this award because one of our branches did not register their Join Flands Day activities with the NFCA, but thanks to the persuasiveness of our national Fraternal Director Zambo who has developed a close working relationship with the NFCA leadership, we had our award changed to Gold post NFCA convention. We cannot rely on our persuasiveness again, so BRANCHES PLEASE pre and post register your activities with NFCA. HRFA Annual Fraternal Meeting, July 30, 2007 in Ligonier, PA. Written By Judit Zambo The Fraternal Activities Committee’s general annual meeting started with the opening words of the Chairman of the Committee Mr. Joe Fabri who commended the fratemalists of HRFA on their selfless work during the past 12 months. The first item on the fraternal agenda was to discuss branch participation in the Bethlen Home Golf Tournament. Chainnan Morey expressed his disappointment over how few of our branches made any kind of a donation (monetary or prizes). Once again, it was those branches that are usually active and can be relied on, who contributed with both efforts and volunteer work this time as well. Many of those area coordinators who were present at the fraternal meeting had arrived to Ligonier days earlier and contributed financially or by bringing sponsors and teams along. Also, Fraternal Coordinators and Board members volunteered their time at the different locations before, during and after the tournament. Fraternity - Testvériség - Fall 2007 Page 5
